Uploading files with your web browser

You will need your site URL, username and password to successfully upload files to your site via a web browser. If you do not have this information please contact a technical support representative at (248) 404-9910.

Steps:


Enter the address of your web site in your browser window in the following format ( ftp://www.yoursiteurl.com) and click Enter or Return (Mac). Your browser will open the remote site and prompt you for a username and password.
Enter your username and password and click log on.
You may now copy files to and from your site as if you were copying to a local folder on your computer.
When you are finished just close the browser window and your connection will be closed.
Uploading files with a FTP client

You will need your site URL, username and password to successfully upload files to your site via your FTP client. If you do not have this information please contact a technical support representative at (248) 404-9910.


Open your FTP program and enter the host address (your site URL) in the space provided.
Enter your username and password and click connect.
In most FTP applications you will see two lists of files and folders. The list on the right usually represents the remote server and the list on the left is your local machine.
Locate the files on the left that you wish to upload to the server and drag and drop them onto the left widow in the location you would like them to be copied.
When you have finished uploading files you can close the FTP application.
